Kirk Franklin Presents Gospel Brunch at House of Blues

     For years, I've wanted to indulge this all-you-can-eat feast.  Finally, last month, I got my opportunity and it did not disappoint.  This musical and dining extravaganza totally exceeded my expectations!  Food, music, and audience participation made this event just fabulous!  Besides the food and music, Bloody Mary's, mimosas, juice, and pop are also included in the ticket price.  Fun for all ages and special occasions.  Tickets are around $40.00 each, not including tax, gratuity, and Ticketmaster fees.

The Chicago Marathon!

     Congratulations to Kenyans Dennis Kimetto and Rita Jeptoo, who won today's Chicago Marathon!  The race attracts runners from all over the world and is also full of American pride.

The Cookie Plate at Todd English's Olives Restaurant!

     October is National Cookie Month and Miss C has been reminiscing about the fabulous Cookie Plate at Todd English's Olives.  Those cookies sent my senses into orbit nearly 2 months ago!  

     The plate was filled with warm chocolate chip, peanut butter, coconut macaroon, oatmeal cinnamon, and white chocolate/macadamia nut cookies and rekindled the tastes of holiday home-baked cookies.  A tall glass of vanilla ice cream was included to wash it all down.  But, I would have preferred ice cold milk for dippin' the cookies.  Just a personal preference. 

     Now go bake some cookies!  Of better yet, if you're in Las Vegas, stop by Todd English's Olives at the Bellagio Hotel and experience this wonderful delight!
